Nestled in the high country north of Toowoomba, the Crows Nest Markets are a true regional treasure. Held every month at the Crows Nest Showgrounds, they’re a gathering place for locals and a hidden gem for travellers. With over 150 stalls on a good day, it’s the kind of place where you can pick up everything from local honey and handmade soaps to vintage tools, home-baked cakes and farm-fresh produce.

There’s no rush here — just friendly faces, fresh air and that unbeatable feeling of discovering something made with care. Whether you’re fossicking for a find or just enjoying a hot snag and a cuppa, this is regional Queensland at its most charming.

Things to Do in Crows Nest

There’s more to this quiet town than just the markets. If you’re planning a visit, make sure you also:

Wander Through Crows Nest National Park

A short drive from town, this peaceful bushland is home to scenic walking tracks, creeks and native wildlife. The lookout is a must-visit for sunset lovers.

Visit the Crows Nest Soft Drink Factory

This old-school soda factory has been bottling Queensland favourites since 1903. Pop in for a taste of nostalgia — the sarsaparilla is a standout.

Grab a Bite in the Village

The local bakery and cafés serve hearty fare and fresh-baked goodies. It’s proper country hospitality, with no fuss and plenty of flavour.

Stay Local at Crows Nest Tourist Park

Just a few minutes from the market grounds, the Crows Nest Tourist Park is your ideal base. With shady powered sites, cosy cabins and that peaceful country outlook, it’s a favourite for return travellers and first-timers alike. There’s space to spread out, a camp kitchen to share stories over dinner, and friendly locals who’ll point you towards the best spots in town.

Pet-friendly and relaxed, it’s everything you want from a country park — clean, quiet and welcoming.

When to Visit

The Crows Nest Markets are held on the first Sunday of every month (except January), from 7am to 12 noon. We recommend arriving early to beat the rush and make the most of the stalls. Parking is free and there’s usually live music or local buskers adding to the laid-back vibe.
